- My PS Audio BHK Signature preamp has a built-in headphone amp. It uses the BHK’s tube stage and the signal then goes to a dedicated MOSFET stage (i.e., separate from the solid state stage for driving speakers).

ZMF Aeolus (open back) headphones, with an upgraded cable, connected via 1/4” TRS jack to an SPL Phonitor e headphone amp; which in turn is connected to my Bryston BDA-3 DAC via single-ended (‘unbalanced’) RCA cables.
The front end consists of either a Bryston BDP-2 digital transport (connected to the DAC via USB) or a Sony SCD-XA5400ES SACD player (connected to the DAC via an HDMI cable). (The Bryston DAC accepts a DSD signal from either HDMI or USB input.)
I also have AudioQuest Nighthawk headphones that I use with my laptop or portable DAP.
