Sennheiser HD 490 Pro Plus coming?

Correlating elevated treble with ice pick treble spikes is strange. bright doesn't mean spikes, lol.

Something important that has been forgotten about by many.

My samsung galaxy buds pro have better treble and bass extension and better soundstage than sennheiser hd 600. I prefer galaxy buds pro over the majority of headphones ive used lol. The majority of headphones are so tonally flawed that you might as well get studio monitors. The weakest link in...

yes they smooth out completely in the treble. dt770 are a lot worse.

New Beyerdynamic Pro X line: DT 700 Pro X and DT 900 Pro X

One of my main concerns is if the additional isolation which probably helped with sub bass extension probably would also add some funky coloration somewhere easily seen ln measurements.

If i ever buy another pair of headphones its gojng to be another dt990 pro 250 ohm. Very happy with their dynamic fun sound after a few months of use when the treble cools down lol.

    The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread

You have to be very specific about the version of dt880 you have. Black edition dt880 has a bass boost like dt990 has. They have bass boosting pads. Silver dt880 pads dont boost the bass. Dt1990 come with 2 sets of pads one analytical one balanced. Balanced pads boost the bass. Dt880 black...

Yes bass thins out over a few months period of time. 5-6khz also droops down a little. so they thin out over time i herd hd800s do this too but i havent seen pad wear comparisons of it.

    The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread

dt880 are pretty lame. they lose bass over time as the pads wear. they have a hilarious 6khz peak tonality that you have to listen to all day every day. they have a treble roll off. dt990 after a few months smooth out in the treble with no peaks to speak of. you get much better bass and treble...

the 4 bad spots of the dt770 series. bad compared to 990. the isolation isnt worth the inferior response.

New Beyerdynamic Pro X line: DT 700 Pro X and DT 900 Pro X

Exactly how dt990 pro 250 ohm sounded vs dt990 600 ohm premium. I was like wow the premium 600 ohm sound less harsh and things are more clear and present. Both things can be considered a upgrade until the music starts playing and they sound duller and clunkier and not musical at all.

New Beyerdynamic Pro X line: DT 700 Pro X and DT 900 Pro X

I'm 99% sure at this point the dt900 pro x are blunted dt990 250 ohm pro. and in that regard beyer already has a lot similar to that tuning maybe black edition dt880 or tygr or premium dt990. all the same tuning of a bass boost high mid scoop and rolled off highs above 7khz more in line with...

New Beyerdynamic Pro X line: DT 700 Pro X and DT 900 Pro X

when i bought the dt990 premium 600 ohm i was devastated by the rolled off highs dulling the sound. seems like they did it to the 900 pro x kinda like the dt880 rolling off the highs. wish they would stop doing it. people think extended highs sound harsh or shrill so they dampen the hell out of...
