If you want to hook up speakers to your amp, you'll need a WA5. Otherwise just go with a WA5-LE. Both are nearly identical, except for the speaker outs. The WA5 does have separate speaker and headphone topology, and uses higher graded parts, I feel the SQ difference would be negligible, however...

The only upgraded parts I got were the Sophia mesh plates, the 7N7's, and the others that I sent or are sending back. All internal components for my amp are stock.

My WA5-LE is by far the most expensive component in my system, but I can see why. The moment I un-packaged this very heavy piece of kit, I could tell I was in for a ride. By size alone it literally screamed quality. Then there is build. Without an industrial bender there is no way any part...

Been meanin' to say this for awhile...   @Dubstep Girl   As shyness procludes me, The Prodigy says their next album WON'T be dubstep. EEEK, not dubstep! They were pioneers of this genre, and with the latter said, Jeez I hope this album will be good.   Communicating for the sake of...

Quote: Yes, you need an adapter. I'm not sure if there is a resistor in mine, as they are Jack's adapters, and are guaranteed to work regardless.   However, I would contact Jack. This is especially true for 6SN7s: These adapters have the same pinout as a 6SN7. If you decide to give...

Hello Head-fiers. I registered ages ago, but have not done much replying. I too bought GE and Westinghouse 6GL7's, and unlike most of the replies, I love them. I had GE 6FD7s coupled with my HD-800's, and thought: You know, I'm itching to try these tubes Jack's been raving about. I was pleased...

    Interest check: Vancouver Canada??

Occasional replies seem to be piquing our interest in to this matter, but alas, the amount of piquing may not be enough. My current residence is not available for audiophile show-and-tell, but in this expansive metropolitan area of ours, other sites are clearly available. To find somewhere...

    Interest check: Vancouver Canada??

I'd say six is a hex but that'd be redundant. We'd need a downtown Vancouver-ish site to play show and tell with our equipment. Live in Coquitlam, I'd need to take the bus, and would be more than willing to, if anyone is interested. I have an email address that I sit by anxiously all day, so...

    Interest check: Vancouver Canada??

Certainly, I'd be willing to be a part of this get-together if I'm accepted. The guys at Hi-Fi Centre are great. They are more honest than your typical hi-fi outlet employee and they have a system where you can buy cheaper cans from the same product line. This is how I got my RS-1's, traded...
