    Beyerdynamic DT990 600 ohm, 250 ohm or 32ohm?

o.O i've been misinformed i suppose.  i was planning on getting either dt990s or dt880s and settled on the latter for the reason i've mentioned.

need amp suggestsion for dt880 600. too much treble

Yea.  It's more of an intro amp that I paired with m50s.

need amp suggestsion for dt880 600. too much treble

with my audinst, it really really feels like 600 version needs a more powerful amp. i clocked about 60 hours so far and the treble calmed down a bit already.  however, it still feels a tad bit slow and lacking bass punch.  =/  i ordered a lovely cube--blc clone--few days ago and i'll report back...

Doesn't beats have a built-in amp? I believe you need batteries to drive them..

    Beyerdynamic DT990 600 ohm, 250 ohm or 32ohm?

If you are planning to listen to music out of ipod. just get a pair of m50s and a entry level amp(<$200).  dt990 is very treble and bass happy--lacking the mid.  can't say from experience, but from what i read/heard dt990 is not really suitable for electronica/trance/house.

Bose QC15 vs Audio Technica ATH M50

I wouldn't look much for soundstage in m50s.  they are closed cans after all. the clamping force is strong initially but you will get used to it.  the headphone's isolation is superb.  you won't hear a thing but the music.

ATH M50 or M50S? Amped or no? If yes, which amp?

unless you are thinking of getting any better headphones, you don't need one for m50s.  but i really don't think you'll be able to listen to these while working out.  these are closed cans and your ears will get extremely hot and humid.     also not to mention these are supposed to be worn...

ATH M50 or M50S? Amped or no? If yes, which amp?

M50s are great without an amp.  But, a DAC would be nice.  I listen from my mbp and my mac workstations and the dac cuts down the noise by noticeable amount.  I personally paired mine with an audinst hud mx-1.  it's got great reviews.  but, you might want to check out this one too: yulong u100

Is this Audio Technica M50 fake?

I don't think so.  At least visually they look the same as mine.  and I think I know where you are coming with them being a little "flimsy".  It has that feeling because of the joints and the fact that the drivers rotate in every direction.  Are they used?

need amp suggestsion for dt880 600. too much treble

Just got 880s today and notice that there's a tad bit too mcuh treble for my taste.  also, i am using audinst as dac/amp.  is there an amp that i could pair nicely with 880 to give bass a little boost?  I am still planning to use audinst as a dac.  thanks in advance.

    I hate my dt880's. I love my dt880's.

Quote:   I guess this was a typo? I just got my DT880s today, and my experience is exactly the opposite.  Bass is tight but slighly lacking, mids are clearly pronounced, and treble's too much.   On a different note, what would be an ideal amp for this? right now I am using audinst...

    a question about impedance

I am new to audiophilia. What happens if you run a 300~600 ohms amp with 38 ohms headphones?  Is it possible to blow the drivers?  I have a pair of ath m50s and audinst mx-1.  I am planning to try HD650 and/or z1000.  Audinst can switch to high gain mode form 30~300 to 300~600.  So, would it be...
