just got DHC symbiote for ES5, and to my surprise it is the biggest improvement in sound in the setup over the CLAS and portaphile and alo continental. It doesn't taint the sound character of the ES5 but instead it noticeably,   1) lifts the veil/improves clarity without messing with the ES5...

yea it dies pretty quick and just pops when it goes dud. i think the review is pretty spot on. I don't want to say too much about sq because of my limited experience and lack of burn in at this stage. My impression from reading the other user experience is that ATH CK10 are hard to have synergy...

thanks for the impressions slwiser! Since I am waiting for the ES5 to come in next week I hooked up my ATH CK10 to the Continental V2 just for kicks. The CK10 lost a lot of its energetic character and felt more congested and veiled....it also caused it to hiss (slightly) and buzz intermittently...
