I reckon the winged c in pre and tad 6l6 are audio magic. I couldn't stand the red rca in pre. Maybe I got a bad pair. Underwhelmed by the gold lion KT66.

Confirming the Sony nwz a17 does not work with the resonessence herus.

But with your cable you aren't taking the digital signal into an external dac, via USB otg, you are merely taking the analog because yours ends at a headphone jack. Unless it's a coax phono jack?
