Yes, I have the phone set to Max. Still doesn't result in the higher resolution streams.

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

I use an iPhone and an iPad for streaming Tidal to my Zen Stream. The iPad works with the higher resolution files and the indicator light on the Zen changes colors accordingly. Most of the time, but not always, the resolution when using the iPhone is stuck on yellow for 44kHz 16 bit and my DAC...

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

The last time I tried to install an update it crashed and had to have firmware reloaded. Mr BubbaHyde saved me that time but wouldn't want to do it again. Is there a good and solid procedure for loading the update? Thanks, John

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

I'm back to my PC based music server as the Zen won't stay connected to the network for more than 30 seconds after a reboot. I've done the reset process as described at the beginning of this thread several times with no better outcome. This is frustrating as it was working fairly well for...

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

Since I tried installing the new Android app I've had nothing but problems keeping my Zen on line. I use wifi as I've never gotten it to connect hard wired. Now if I power off reboot I can connect but it only lasts for a few minutes and it drops off. I can see it in my wifi management app but...

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

Regarding the new Android app version, I'm still on the previous version as my install failed but since then I realized that I hadn't uninstalled the old version first. Would this have been the root of my problem?

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

Came back to the streamer after about an hour and the right side red light was dark and I was able to turn on the hot spot. Finished the install and I'm back on line. Sorry for the false alarm. Just needed to step away for a while.

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

I tried to install the new Android software. Now I have a brick with two red lights and I can't get the hot spot to activate so I can get things going again. Any ideas? I've had a pretty problem free experience so far but this one has me stumped. Cycling power and using the reset button...

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

I have used both a USB hard drive and a 512Gb thumb drive. Mostly FLAC but some hires DSD. Can't say about the other formats you mention. It is much faster accessing files from the thumb drive. I use the iFi app on my Android and an iPad for this access. Seems to work fine but directory...

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

Not related to the recent discussion but thought I would share this experience. I've been using a USB hard drive connected to the Zen and it has worked fine for me, but recently my son suggested moving my music library onto a thumb drive. I bought a 512Gb SanDisc, copied my library onto it...

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

So far I have only used the directly connected usb drive. I've never had an NAS but recently by son told about his use of an RPi as a NAS. He is going to coach me through the setup so I can try mine as a NAS. If I get it working and can access via the Stream I will post my results. All the...

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

Got my usb disc working. Reformatted from NTFS to FAT32 and reloaded the files. Seems to be ok now. Funny because it worked fine with my RPi with NTFS formatting.

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...

Have any of you Stream owners connected a USB hard drive? iFi doesn't mention, anywhere that I can find, how to format the files on the drive so it will see them. All I find in the iFi app is the trash bin folder. It will play audio files there but it doesn't show any of the other...
