Android phones and USB DACs
OK I'm officially hopping on this otg > DAC train! I ordered a Galaxy Tab Pro to use with my aunt t1 that has been collecting dust for a few months. Anybody have a recommendation for a dock with one or two USB ports and hdmi? I'm trying to get this set up to be as clean as possible for home...- nbriles2000

Android phones and USB DACs
So I've been toying around with the idea of buying a tablet as a source. I already have an Aune t1 DAC and I'd like a tablet that will work without rooting or anything like that. I think i'll use a network hdd for most things, flac or high quality mp3's. Does the newest nexus 7 work in its...- nbriles2000

The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..
I'm using some double flange tips that I found suggested elsewhere in this thread. The bass seems to be improving as time goes on. They're probably only 20 hours or so in. Highs are evening out too. I plan on doing the mod with the new microfiber mesh covering the nozzle (er whatever...) and...- nbriles2000

OK I just got these last night (the black ones.) I let em burn in all last night. The bass leaves something to be desired and the upper end seems quite peaky. What mods should I do first? I know about covering the drivers in the microfiber cloth and I plan to do that after work tonight! Overall...- nbriles2000

Are these still worth it after the recable cost? How do they compare to the jvc fx40? I just had a pair of those die on me- nbriles2000

So I finished wiring the drivers and putting them in their cups this morning and they sound pretty fantastic for slower music or acoustic guitar and piano and more mellow stuff. When listening to metal they seem to be pretty slow and flabby sounding though. I'm hoping some burn in time will...- nbriles2000

Is there any easy way to liberate the drivers in the Px100 ii's? All I've done so far is remove the headband. I'm not really sure how to remove the plastic housing that surrounds the drivers themselves EDIT: Nevermind! A small amount of prying on the back and they came right off. Not even a...- nbriles2000

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
Just finished doing a 4 strand round braid from Brians cables this morning and got my connector in, too. Was wondering if anybody has ever used clear techflex, and if so how clear is it? Anybody have pics. 1/8th, not 1/4 right? The braid looks pretty damn sweet and I would certainly like to...- nbriles2000

Aune T1 USB Tube DAC+ SS Amp Discussion Thread ***See first post for FAQ--Updated on 02/14/15***
Just as an update for my problem last night; I came to my pc this morning expecting frustration but it worked perfectly today without even changing anything! Electronics are weird... Sounds great through my Lepai and now I'm waiting on parts for a SennGrado build! Should sound fantastic!- nbriles2000

Just some random amazon seller. They were only 35 bucks so I jumped on it because I am going to pull them apart anyways. I'm going to see if I can find them for a decent price locally because I really dont want to wait another week! On a positive note, my Aune worked perfectly when I turned...- nbriles2000

My PX100-ii's were supposed to come in the mail today so I could start extracting the drivers... Instead, I got an empty package! >.< I did get my Aune T1 today though. Now I just have to figure out why it doesn't work!- nbriles2000
