Thanks all. I might just take teh 280's along....theyre big, but the isolation and sound quality should be worth it.

True. But for isolation is the 202 enough? Otherwise I may keep the buds that came with teh mp3 player for teh airport and take teh 280 for the actual flight.

Excellent amp. And if you want a nice warm sound go for the World Audio Design HD80. You can set up impedence to match whatever headphones you have.

The EH 6SN7 are quite good. Nice balance and not as warm as vintage GTB's. Affordable at something like $15 a pop.
