  1. Grado SR60i Headphones

Excellent headphones. Everything about them is 'right'.    I suppose some people won't like how they sound, as they're tuned to fit Mr. Grado's ears. But everyone should try them anyway. I loved how these sound, and it started my Grado addiction. I've now worked my way up to the 325i.   Yeah. These supposedly more 'affordable' headphones are burning my wallet in the long-run...   But in a good way.

I'll admit I used to think that these were really 'overrated'.    Then I bought them, just to see what the fuss was about. I figured that if I didn't like them, I could return them.    At first, I found them pretty underwhelming.    10 hours later, I realized that these were worth every dollar. I'm not sure if it's really because of the 'burn-in', or if it's just my ears getting used to it. But either way, I fell in love with these.    It's been a while since I've had them, and I still enjoy listening to them. Sometimes I like them...
  3. Sennheiser - Sennheiser CX 200 Street II

These are decent IEMs. One way to describe them is 'exceedingly average'. There's absolutely nothing special about them. Nothing that's so downright bad, but nothing that's really great either.   They don't sound fantastic in any way. The soundstage is a bit too small for me, and the bass is rather pushy.    Maybe one more thing that's worth mentioning is that they're pretty durable. You can throw these around, give them as much abuse as you want, and nothing's really going to happen.
  4. Sennheiser HD 598

Sennheiser's HD-598 delivers an amazing sound. Highs and mids are deliciously engaging, although the bass is a bit light. Nevertheless, it's still present, and it's tight.    The 6.3mm jack is a bit weird. You'll need to carry an adapter, which make these cans less portable and bulkier to carry around outdoors. These are generally meant to stay at home.   I've had these headphones for about 7 months now, and they sound fantabulous, even without being driven by an amp. It was definitely worth the price.
