I have been using an old CMOY in a mint tin for travel and a HeadRoom micro amp with home module upgrade for years now. It's time for an upgrade. I would like an amp that has a long battery life, small-ish size and a built in USB dac because I will be using this mostly with my windows...- natgun

need help with small ears?
ok fellas, my sister has a nomad micro, but the earbuds that came with it dont fit in her ears, they just fall out. i gave her a pair of my old sony buds and those were too big as well. my sister doesnt want anything big, they have to be small enough to fit in her pocket when she is done. so...- natgun

What 135W or a bit more amplifier do you like?
you can find a used threshold stasis s/300 for around $500-$750... 150wpc, built like a brick crapper. these nelson pass(of pass labs) designed amps are considered by many to be among the best ever made at any price. there are people who specialize in restoring these amps as well. feel free...- natgun

beyer dt770 - my MINT cant keep up
just got a brand new pair of the 2006 DT770s and unfortunately my headsave MINT amp(3 years old+) has to be near 100% volume to drive them to decent sound levels. Thankfully, the beyers sound pretty damn good, but they lack some of the impact i remember from the last time i auditioned them...- natgun

background noise?
when using my portable setup, i notice a large ammount of background hiss when i turn the volume up past maybe 60-70%, increasing rapidly past that point. I have a pretty nice stereo setup, and i do not notice this much hiss with my CDs even at high volume.. assuming the conversion to MP3...- natgun
