Thats because they arent v-shaped. Audio snobs are just used to over priced headphones that have little to no natural bass. And its the cost fallacy, they have to justify spending insane money for trash, so they crap on other amazing products because it doesnt match what they wasted money on...

Zero graphs show the sony MV1 as V shaped. To this day i am shocked at how many people dont know how to read said graphs. You want v shaped, sony extrabass headphones. That is v-shaped. The MV1 are nowhere near v-shaped. They are literally professional headphones meant for actual sound...

People like to crap on Sony, especially the audiophile community. I constantly read about how we should buy sennheiser over sony, or pretty much any high end name brand. Ive actually been called a Sony fanboy for stating the fact that the MV1 beats the HD600 series of headphones. "Liar, sony...

Personally? Sure. I prefer the MV1. Open back, better highs, cleaner bass. I prefer the MV1 over both the 1am2 and z7m2

Not everyone who owns them know of these forums? I have two friends who bought them off my recommendation and they LOVE them, as much as I do. We are all gamers and the accuracy of footsteps thanks to a great soundstage is unparalleled. Sounds great for music and movies too. I personally...

For me, i had the 1am2, upgraded to z7m2, then mv1. And i LOVE my mv1s. They blow both those other 2 out the water. Bonus, gaming! The spatial sound is accurate as hell. Sennheisers are too wide and closed backs are too narrow. The mv1 is the perfect middle ground

Watching on a pc? Just use dolby atmos. 3d surround from creative/soundblaster has gone downhill since the old days. Like really bad.

I modded my z7m2 with beyerdynamic velour pads to boost treble and a new cable cuz my old one broke, and honestly I still prefer the MV1s

Do you know what gear rtings actually tests on? Because everything is different. Gotta take response graphs with a grain of salt.... My fiio k9 pro will have a different output vs my topping dx7 pro.... Not wildly different but still. I dont notice a 8000-9000hz peak at all. I tried to eq that...

The HD660s2's are open back, which as you said is NOT what you are looking for in terms of office environment. I would probably say, if you were choosing something for office use, the 1AM2's are sleek and more normal looking while the Z7M2 are big, and look bulky. So you would be better off...

Well I got my MDR-MV1 in the mail today. I've been using them for hours. And holy hell, I love them.... The bass is super punchy without drowning out the mids/highs. I prefer the sound over my Z7M2 and it surely beats the crappy HD660s2's I bought before these.... SO FAR, testing in video...

Just visit tidal (paid) or amazon music (paid?). And you can do the 360 audio with any headphones. Different headphones will sound different based on their sound stage. Right now listening to my hero from foo fighters in 360 on amazon and its very different sounding than typical left/right...
