    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

Stepped on my IE8's right unit. Broke it. Self repaired it. Due to lazyness, did not re-glue it and lost the tip+nozzle in the subway!!!. Just bought the 80's at Amazon.de @ 217€ (8's were 197€ on Nov 2009).    Any suggestions cable-wise? Should I use 8's cable?   Ty.    BTW...

When people say sony hybrids, what do they mean?

Hi. Are hybrids different from those that come with the Sony in ears? Are they called hybrids for some specific reason. I say this 'cause I got a set of spare tips coming from a now defunct Sony MDR-NX1 but they do not look "hybrid" in any aspect but the form factor. From what I've read in...

Wearing Sennheiser IE8 Upside down = better isolation + fit!

I just got my pair a couple hours ago. Fine sound for be OOTB with Iphone 2G and eq on Treble enhance. If this improves with burn-in... fine with me! I', wearing them straight down with cables swapped. I just pulled them away from their housings. I know it's scary... but it worked okay for...

WARNING: Fake IE8s! Comparison pictures included!!

Mine are in transit from Amazon.de..... Is that a guarantee? Do you know they buy straight from Sennheiser? Talking about Amazon itself, not Marketplace vendros. This IS scary.

    Sennheiser IE8 Impressions Thread

I just took the plunge. Waiting for the phones to arrive. I guess I'll keep the Klipsch for back-up and for my beloved one whenever she needs tham (she's got some nasty sounding Panasonic's). I won't tell her the price of the IE8's Any recomendations on which tips should be best (now...

You might kill me, but... IE8 vs UM3X ($ for $) for an iPhone 2g + iPod 5.5g

Okay, having the IE8 at amazon.de for a nice €197 price I've taken the plunge and will give them a try. Thing is having looked at the Westone's it seems to me their plug will not fit into the iPhone 2g's hp socket. As long as I do not want to get an accesory to plug them, I'll see how the...

You might kill me, but... IE8 vs UM3X ($ for $) for an iPhone 2g + iPod 5.5g

Makes kind of sense. Are W3 nice/easy fitting? I've read that might be one of the advantages of X's over plain W3's, although I understand many more tips come with the 3's. To be honest my main concern is getting a set that: 1.- doesn't obscure the music 2.- does provide decent and...

Yep, that's kinda the feeling I had... Although I find weird for IE8's not isolating correctly... Guess I should jump into the Westone wagon. Only concern is for those being a little bass-shy... What's your feeling? Ty.
