Campfire Audio Trifecta
Really poor craftsmanship with those air bubbles in the resin/plastic. Never seen something cost so much to look like this gaudy mess- Music225

AUDIOSENSE in-ear monitors Impressions Thread
Not sure you would find many H16 owners here, it got no tractions. But here is my 2 cents: I haven't tried any other iem at this range, still I don't think it's worth it at 250$. Bass is big, textured but boomy and bleed, mid kinda veiled, still lots of details and instrument separation is good...- Music225

Hifiman Serenade - Himalaya Pro R2R DAC headamp all-in-one
Gotta chime in on this. The Th-909 and 900 is known for amp picky. I got the chance to demo it yesterday and have to say it's the best pairing I've found for my 909 so far. It tames the peaks very well without killing the sparkle and gives more body to the bass, tight and impactful, without...- Music225

Fostex TH909 Announcement
Yes they are really source dependent. For taming the treble, I can also say the iFi Gryphon (more effective) and Aune BU1 does the job.- Music225

iBasso DX170 You want your Music? It is right here. *** NEW Firmware: 1.06 Apple support and other additions! ***
Well I would disagree here, as I said for its purpose I think they are at the level of efficient enough as a portable device with streaming & single android app capability. A smoother experience would be great but it is not so weak/frustrating/useless as a few years ago. If you are strictly...- Music225

I understand and feel this... not as strongly/harshly but if you take a look around this niche market the DX170 is probably the best ppp ratio. They are all very outdated even the higher tier, for example AK has closed Android with only supported apps. It's a shame but I wouldn't call the whole...- Music225

Yes, I see your "imho" but why are you preaching your opinion as a universal cold hard truth? For me, I dont like buying used products. Even if the choice is between you give me away the ZX300 or I will have to buy myself DX170, I wouldn't take ur praised sony and will spend my money on DX170...- Music225

A few pages back the owner of Ibasso reply about this issue. Also they are not quick on updating their website, happens with 160 as well.- Music225

I wished the price of 909SB were the same as the red in EU so I could have had it as well or instead of. The blue finish is absolute endgame to my taste - Music225

Audio-Technica ATH-AWAS Announcement Thread
This kind of music really highlight the strength of the AWAS, the warmth, lowly, rumbly raspy haunting voice shines through the headphones so endearingly, together with the accuracy of the timbre on every guitar pluck. The little nuances of the background sounds are also revealed creating a...- Music225

Yup, now it leaves the upcoming Fiio M11s as the only contender at this bracket. DX170 is the best choice atm unless you already have the DX160 fully functional. :relieved:- Music225

To my ears, I think it still retains the neutrality from dx160 and sonic wise nothing fundamentally changed, just a seemingly broader soundstage with more depth and height, don't want to use audio jargons but some might say holographic. A touch brighter but doesn't bring out as much harshness as...- Music225
