Just an update to my situation, package arrived today from Fiio. They sent both earhooks as replacements, got them finally both pairing now and working. Took awhile but got the right outcome. This time they both came with v1.43

Finally got a response last night, seems their email support is the way to go in the future. They are organsing for a new earhook to be sent with the correct firmware. So I am expecting a new right earpiece with v1.74 or left earpiece with v1.5. Once I receive I will provide an update back...

I managed to update no issues prior to v1.74, I believe it's because the software doesn't allow updating of only one earpiece. Both earpieces need to be connected to be able to update the firmware, however because Fiio only replaced one earpiece and that came with v1.5 and is now mismatched...

Tried via the aliexpress message centre (can't use that to dispute anymore as the replacement was a $1 item), tried facebook messenger (tells me to go email or store), have sent email to their support contact (waiting for response), raised a thread on their forums and now here. Last resort is...

  EDIT: After doing some searching it appears it is the Yokes that I am after (confused about naming). So just need the yokes without the yoke rods or headband.

Does anyone know where to purchase just the assembly that holds the ear cups to the yoke?    My headband is still perfectly fine however the part where it screws the to end of the yoke is a bit worse for wear and the screw keeps coming loose now.

  Yes I have, it isn't dirty or wax build up on the sleeves. It is actually the gloss/clear coat failing.

Checking in for those that have had their sleeves for a long duration now, how is your clear coat holding up?   I have the Crystal Smoke and when I first got it there was a very nice glossy coat, however a short period of time (3-6 months) I've noticed that it has lost the glossy look in parts...
