Recable and Headphone value.
Quote: This is what I plan to do. After all they are mine, I'm going to do whatever I want with them. But like i said I don't plan to sell these any time soon; I can imagine if I did sell I'd miss the sound and buy another pair. But I made this thread just to get a feel for... -
Recable and Headphone value.
Quote: I didn't expect to get my money back, I just don't want to get less money for my gear than I would if it was stock. And I bet there's a lot of other people that would not buy modded headphones. -
Recable and Headphone value.
I have a pair of Alessandro MS2 headphones and I love the sound. One of my biggest complaints about these is the cable, its thick and heavy. I've thrown around the idea of putting in a new cable myself (I'm not a master but I have soldered many times before). My concern with doing this is, how...- MrBassmicks

Why Westone Why?!?!?
I think that if someone is so concerned about sq and was educated enough on the subject to know the benefits of custom molded tips, they would just buy a new headphone. Investing time and money into ibuds is kinda ridiculous. But the idea of one custom tip that can fit multiple headphones is...- MrBassmicks

Which Turbine Should I Get
I'm confused about how turbines line up. Supposedly the coppers are the top model. But, they are cheaper (at least on Amazon) than both the golds well as the MD. I'm thinking of buying some soon and I'm considering all three. Its hard to make my mind up. I guess I cant go wrong either way, they...- MrBassmicks

Not sure if I like Klipsch S4
Update: I've decided that I don't want to keep these, assuming BB will let me return them, what should I get in the same price range? These have a nice sound aside from the sibilance. After more listening I realized that the slightest movement changes their sound, so I find it hard to position...- MrBassmicks

Not sure if I like Klipsch S4
Quote: the only tips I've tried are the stock ones, Which seal amazingly and are super comfortable. Maybe ill try different ones sometime, but for now I don't want to spend anymore money. These were emergency replacements for my old IEMs that are finally too worn out to use.- MrBassmicks

Not sure if I like Klipsch S4
I haven't tried to take them back yet, but if I don't like the sound of them after a week or so I'll try to exchange them. Other than the sibilance they sound great to me, I really like everything else about them. So, if BB wont take them back Ill be okay with it.- MrBassmicks

Not sure if I like Klipsch S4
Well, I just checked the back of my receipt and it looks like IEMs are not returnable at Best Buy. Anyways, I'm happy to read that the sibilance should go down after more listening. So I'll listen for that to happen. I've only got about ten hours on them so far, maybe tomorrow I will try...- MrBassmicks

Not sure if I like Klipsch S4
A couple days ago I decided to go ahead and upgrade my IEMs and decided to get the Klipsch Image S4s. I do like the clarity, the bass is pretty nice; although a little more bass would be perfect. The only thing that I don't like is in the upper vocal range is a little too pronounced for me...- MrBassmicks

IEM's to fall asleep with
I was just about to make a thread like this. Its nice to find one with replies already in it. I love falling asleep with headphones in. But the tip on my JVCs keeps falling off and getting stuck way down in my ear. And that's not fun to deal with when your half asleep at 3 AM. So in addition...- MrBassmicks

Home theater upgrade coming, right after I get some advice.
Well, I'm definitely more of a music listener. But I got the surround sound because I had it before and liked it then also, I didn't want to loose the option to use it. For now I want to save a little $$$ but in a few months I may get two more front speakers that I will use primarily in stereo... -
Home theater upgrade coming, right after I get some advice.
Quote: Awesome! Mine showed up today and I'm in the process of learning how to use it, lol. It sounds great so far. I cant wait to watch a movie now that I have surround sound again. Thanks again for your help Mark. Avforum is addicting, much like this one. -
Home theater upgrade coming, right after I get some advice.
Just as an update if anybody is paying attention. Last night I decided to buy a Yamaha RX-V667 and Harman Kardon HKTS 20bq 5.1 speakers. I don't know much about Harmon Kardon speakers but on amazon if you buy both of those items you get about $550 off the price. So basically the receiver was...
