Have you listened to the qp2r in balanced and high bias, before you came to that conclusion?- MP800

The volume lowering is normal. I believe this is done to ensure no clipping when boosting frequencies. If boosting freq or attenuating during playback of 44100 16/24 files does not work you may have a defect unit. I would get in touch with your dealer.- MP800

Yep in dsd eq won’t work. It should work on 44100 16 & 24 bit. But when you switch on eq and volume is lowered boosting or attenuating a freq has no audible effect on your unit?- MP800

What Sample Rate are you playing when using eq? Eq only works on 44100 files.- MP800

I was responding theoretically. I don’t even know if this is possible as I haven’t used the docking station. My point was. To my knowledge with any device usb -> analog audio must have dac in between.- MP800

If using USB to analog output there must be a dac in between. Something like apple lightning to mini jack but then with usb c. Why not just just the 3.5mm output? Ik hook it up to my amp that way all the time. Sounds great!- MP800

I eq more bass into my A18t all the time. No distortion whatsoever. :) I think distortion is a combination of the right eq, noise floor of the dap and how the BA’s react to extra amount of bass.- MP800

Are you able to find the settings menu? I believe it should be the first option in the settings menu.- MP800

You’re welcome. And might I add. I used to own a chord mojo, but since I sold it was not able to test with 18t. It should be a good match as the mojo has nice detail with a slightly warm sound signature. I ended up going the dap way as it’s easier for me. The QP2R was my choice and it’s a nice...- MP800

If I had the chance I would get both. The Fourte for fun and the 18T for serious listening. Unfortunately my wallet ain’t that deep. ;)- MP800

A18T soundstage is big, but I wouldn’t say as big as some totl openback cans. In the end it comes down to what you find most important. It has big bass, clear mids and airy highs, but as it’s an iem the sound is more “closed in” compared to openback headphones.- MP800
