I'm still waiting on my 9038D to be delivered but for 600 ohm headphones logic says that the PowerDAC v2.1 should be your choice.- Moonfalcon

For 600 ohm you will surely need the PowerDAC v2.1 as no 9038 variant will be sufficient.- Moonfalcon

I didn't find the PDV2 version and instead bought the 9038D variant... does this one work any good with the Verum 1 Mk 2?- Moonfalcon

Some reviewer wanted the Aeon 2 Noire in matte black.. that would look so boring to me. Myself I would want them in candy apple red.- Moonfalcon

Verum 1 Mk 2 : mini-review
I will have to get me one of those combined Amp/DAC's for sure... don't want my headphones to sound less than what it should. You got two pairs of pads?! Now I'm jealous as I only got a single pair of pads in perforated plastic.- Moonfalcon

I think that they are meant to run directly from your phone so they are no studio headphones in any shape or form.- Moonfalcon

So if you put perforated pads on the red closed Aeon 2's it gives the exact same sound? Are the pads glued into place? Sigh... and I prefer the look of the red ones.- Moonfalcon
