Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I see, so is there something I can do to get it back to the setting I last left it at?

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

A question regarding the Maxwell’s. I use mine solely on the PS5. I set my PS5 to max volume and I then turn the volume down maybe 3/4 steps on the maxwell. I turn them off and then when I power them on again in the morning, the volume of the headset seems to go back to normal, forgetting...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

It’s so odd as I’ve never heard this static with other headsets that have sidetone.

I think it definitely has something to do with the mic. On the latest firmware, if I turn down the sidetone on to about 30/40% (unusable) when the static noise is only slightly noticeable, the static only plays after I breathe out or move my head left or right. If I sit still and hold my breath...

Yes exactly this! Sidetone has to be turned up which introduces the noise!

I described it as like a water sprinkler sound or like a shaker going off quietly in the background. Really annoying. And yes, it was just a white noise before the update.

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

Mine was working fine and had no issues at all. I just updated thinking it was the best thing to do as it mentioned better charging algorithm etc. I never used LDAC just connected straight to my PS5 and worked a treat. Sent it back and hopefully getting a replacement that’s on older firmware and...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

The firmware introduced noise to my sidetone to an unacceptable level. I was using sidetone at around 67% and couldn’t head the static. Now it sounds like it’s scratching or tapping at my head. Contacted my local distributor for a replacement now. Really annoyed at how this has happened.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago and it’s fine. Only thing is the sidetone noise but that That’s exactly what I said a couple of days ago

I’ve had headphones that had a slight white noise hiss such as the nova Pro wireless. The noise for the maxwell is more static/interference than a white noise hiss. Penrose sidetone was also a hiss and not static at all.

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I got told the firmware was pushed out to reduce the the degree of the issue and there will always be some noise present due to the way the internal circuitry interacting with the boom mic. Didn’t mention that they were still looking into the matter. Was told I can send it back to them for...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

Well I got told last week by Audeze that they have done all they can with firmware with regards to sidetone. How strange

I’ve found that if I set it to 81% and above then it’s more of a white noise which I can deal with. If I set it below that then it becomes a crackly/static sound which is more noticeable and irritating.

I just got the PS Maxwell and I also notice the static noise when sidetone is active. It’s like a white noise static. Also a question about the volume. Does it reset to a low volume each time the headset is turned off?

I’ve only seen about 4/5 cases of the snapped hinge and I’m sure they have sold lots of units. But worried if we will see the issue after months or over a year of usage…
