I‘d like to sell my headphone / DAC combo from Violectric: HPA V200 and DAC V800. Comes with installed USB Board 96/192 for the DAC and XLR interconnects (Sommer cable with neutrik plugs). Bought in 2018 and seldomly used.

Beyerdynamic Amiron Home (the new T90)

Ahhh.... the amiron wireless is closed...haven’t looked close enough...haha... They look quite ok. All major Beyers released the last years were really nice looking (especially T1, T90, DT1770). Then came the amiron... what a dated design! Even the DT990 Pro looks cooler.

Beyerdynamic Amiron Home (the new T90)

Recently bought the Amiron. Nice headphone. Somewhere in this thread someone suggested the T1 cable as an upgrade. Never was a believer in cable sound, but as I have the T1 at hand I exchanged cable. Subtle difference, but imho the amiron sounds a little bit more exciting with the T1 cable. Less...

    New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation

I'm using a Grace m903. But the treble of the T1 is too much for me on all sources tested (oppo mobile amp, home stereo, etc...). It don't find it fatiguing or painful, but for me it sounds like you raise the treble control on your home stereo to about 3 o'clock or more. Just not my idea of...

    New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation

Thanks. Agree that the DT1770 is quite in your face (I like this sometimes), but that the big Tesla models are more refined. I like their kinda relaxed sound that nonetheless is suitable for rock music. Just have problems with their treble presentation. At least both generations of the T1. Often...

    New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation

How are the highs of the T5p? I‘m thinking about replacing my DT1770 with the T5p. I already had T5p 1st gen some years ago. I liked them although they were bass shy and a bit clinical. I also had T1 G1 and now have T1G2. T1 G1 had the typical Beyer Peak. However T1 G2 is quite different...

    Official Schiit Vali 2 Thread

I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive tube amp for my living room setup. I got a brand new NAD amp and its headphone out sucks. I also have a Grace m903 (in the bedroom) and a Oppo HA2S as a portable amp. Headphones are Grado RS1e, HD600 and Beyer DT1770. Is the Vali2 on par with the Oppo...

    Grado RS1e matters (and impressions)

Got my new RS1e yesterday. I will let them burn in some time (while I still enjoy my relatively new HD600). First impression was that they sound close to the old RS1e with protruding drivers but the problems with rolled highs seems to be solved. Don't have my old RS1e anymore but will compare...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

I agree that they don't sound their best with a phone. I have a grace m903 and that amp is surely better than a fiio. So, they are scalable, just like every other quality headphone. It's just that I can enjoy the HD600 even with a phone. And that's not the case with some other phones like the...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

I wouldn't be surprised, if I liked them...:) Also would like to hear the HD800s

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

I grew up with Sennheiser. Got the HD490 as a teenager, and the PX100 and HD555 in university. That was before a got serious with headphones.   Then, i tried all different kinds of headphones. I've found no Sennheiser that convinced me completely. The HD800 is unusable with not-ideal...

Sennheiser HD 6,7 & 8 DJ thread. Opinions, reviews, feedback, pics, discussions, etc.

After more than a year in the closet, I've tried on my HD6 in the last couple of days. I like them for having a full size, over the ear design but being quite compact. Also their isolation and sturdiness make them ideal travel headphones. But there is also one big problem: the sound. Too much...

    Grado RS1e matters (and impressions)

As my GH1 are now up for sale, I will order a new pair of RS1e. Will report back.   Although I let my headphones run a few days unattented, I'm still no believer in burn-in. At least not in a change from bad to great. However, small changes can have a great impact. I listened once to two new...
