Welcome to the Meelectronics M11 and R1
Received the M11's today. Out of the box, I'm very disappointed. They are very muddy. Treble is indistinct and recessed. The bass is heavy handed. I'm letting them burn in ... hopefully it helps.- mmakay

Lots of info on the M1 ... anybody got any news on the M11? My im716's just died and need replacing, so I'm feeling impatient!- mmakay

Senn CX400
The cx400 will have less bass than the cx300. It should be tighter and more controlled, but less pronounced.- mmakay

ATH-ANC7 vs. IM716
Do a search for poddectomy info. The im716 has a sound selector switch in the cable. Removing it improves ergos and sound quality.- mmakay

Fitting the UM1 or UE Super.Fi 5 inside a motorcycle helmet?
Why is it OK to drive a Lexus that completely isolates you from road noise and crank your radio up, but it's not OK to listen to tunes on a motorcycle? Typical cager logic.... As long as the music is kept to reasonable levels, you can hear everything that you need to. As for the question...- mmakay

iM716 DIY Pod Removal (aka, Podectomy)
I should add: The more important spec. for audio applications is the tolerance. The smaller the better. (Typically, RatShack sells 5% which isn't great.)- mmakay

In this application, either will work fine. The 1/4W will be physically larger, though.- mmakay

IEMs w/ similar tonality to AKG K240?
My better half is in Dallas today on business, so I sent her to Fry's with a picture of the c700 box. They (the Richardson/Plano location) had several boxes left, and they were sale priced at $65. Hard to pass that by! I'll give them a try for a week and post back with my opinion of the AKG...- mmakay

IEMs w/ similar tonality to AKG K240?
I've had the AKG's forever, and everything that I listen to inevitably gets compared to them. Now I need something more portable to use with my iPod, though. Good isolation is a must, too, as they will be used on planes, etc. I'd rather not spend a fortune, but will spend as much as I need to...- mmakay
