Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

This is interesting, have you tried a lot of TWS? I see the Sony in your sig. I’ve also considered going the adapter route - after all there is such a wealth of wired IEMs out there to suit every taste and they can be easily bought and sold to find something that really works. I already have...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I found the T1XS to have weak lower mids making male voices sound gutless and guitars artificial. I couldn’t agree with Scarbir’s assessment at all.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Between the Tevi and L2Ps, looking at reviews I think the Tevis (post update) might be more suited since I i do want to get away from the excessive bass and warmth of the Tranya T3’s and the L2PS sound like they might take bass too far as well.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

What is the best sounding TWS under $100 or so with physical buttons, none of this touch malarkey? I’ve resolved my problem with the T1XS’ by de-syncing and re-syncing everything - that seems to have banished the internal mic rainstorms. Switching on the Easy Mode has restored the full touch...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I’ve been eyeing an upgrade on my Tranya T3’s for a while - they’ve been a great intro to TWS for the last year but are a little too bassy and warm even though I do like a warm sound. So today my T1XS arrived and so far they are a disaster. There is a loud hiss making it sound like I’m in a...

Happy as a Pig in Schiit: Introducing Modi Multibit

Do you play them at full software volume? I found that whenever I got a repaired unit it could only handle full volume for a few months at best before it would start overdriving on thick sounding tracks.

Happy as a Pig in Schiit: Introducing Modi Multibit

Are you guys running your Mimby’s from unattenuated i.e. bit perfect sources? I went through the best part of two years of returning Mimby’s for repair as they kept developing this issue of overdriving on loud tracks when given full volume input. In the end the distributor claimed that it was...

MrSpeakers AEON Flow Open - Impressions Thread

Thanks that’s a very well thought out response. Having decided on the AFO’s I’m expecting them in the next couple of days so I’ll be finding out very soon. If they don’t feel right then I can always order the LCD’s or even a Hifiman Ananda for comparison.

That sounds like a great resource. I’m in the UK so no dice, but I’ve just bought an AFO from the classifieds anyway.

MrSpeakers AEON Flow Open - Impressions Thread

A minimal clamp that pretty much just sat rather than pressed with significant force would be ideal - my HD600's clamp a little tighter than that and are bearable for about three hours. My other, cheaper possibility would be a used, worn in pair of HE-560's but the HiFiMan reputation for poor...

MrSpeakers AEON Flow Open - Impressions Thread

How is the clamp on these after they've broken in? I have stretched my HD600's out many times to lessen their clamp as I'm very sensitive around the jaw. I'm kinda stuck between the LCD2C and these - the weight of the Aeons is a big selling point but ultimately it's clamp that matters to me...

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest

No never happened before, I was using an Objective2 amp which has managed over a thousand hours of use with other IEMs and cans with no shocks. Google reveals shocks from earphones to be relatively common, whether the V80 cable is a static magnet or there’s a more serious problem with the...

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest

I was disappointed with the TRN V80’s before but they’ve really done it now. I’d noticed a few times before a quick crackling sound when I stood up when wearing them, now I know what the crackle is and it’s not nice: they hit me with an electric shock strong enough to make me feel pretty averse...

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest

I also received v80’s in the last week and am somewhat disappointed. I’ve not had any trouble with sibilance per se...more that they are inconsistent as funk. Soundstage is decently wide, a bit closed in compared to the zs5v1 but good enough with some depth. Bass is PHAT (using foams, it’s...
