Best Smartphone for audiophile
Ok, so I played around with the Dolby Atmos settings and got the loudness and even clarity up considerably with the Game settings (ups the loudness, adds surround virtualizer and volume leveler). It pretty much doubled the loudness- mikedcw

So I bought the Lenovo Vibe A7010 (K4 note), and while the SQ and performance are great, the sound is not very loud when using headphones. I have to listen to music at over half the volume bar. I have Kilimanjaro 2, but the phone is so big that it ends up too cumbersome to walk with the Fiio AND...- mikedcw

Is the chipset in the Lenovo Vibe X3, the X3 c78 and the k4 note the same? I live in Brazil and am about to buy a new smartphone. The Lenovo I'm looking into is the Vibe A7010, which I thought was the X3 c78, but gsmarena says it's the k4 note. Also, hows the audio quality on the LG G4 or...- mikedcw

The Pro 5 seems to be the best right now, wish I could buy one, but importing one is a pain and rather costly unfortunately... Gonna have to stick to the Vibe X3 for now- mikedcw

I had found it on Mercado Livre for a great price, my only worry is with ANATEL, and if it would work... Anatel has been getting more annoying each and every year with imported phones. From what region is the Vibe X3 that you bought? Could be a limitation like some european phones have...- mikedcw

Nevermind, the M8 might not be an option here in Brazil, HTC doesn't have a sales rep here... Probably gonna go with the Vibe X3- mikedcw

I've always considered the M8, but until recently the price was still a bit high here in Brazil, but now it's a bit more affordable. The M9 I've read some not so good reviews and comments, saying it barely improves upon the M8 and that the Snapdragon 810 overheats easily. Add to that the...- mikedcw

So while looking at the available phones here in Brazil, I've narrowed some phones down spec-wise, but would like to hear about their SQ. Lenovo Vibe X3 c78 (same audio components as X3) - seems to lose a bit on some performance bugs and a bad camera from what I've read, if anyone has it and...- mikedcw

That's an interesting price, the specs seem pretty good on the Vibe X3 and the price is very reasonable, might give it a go. I used to find the 5" phones gigantic, but heck, I used to think my iphone 5c was big way back when lol. the MX4 Pro was the best choice I was considering, but I...- mikedcw

How about performance? And I couldn't find out if it has expandable storage, but I'm assuming it has since there are 2 SIM slots and most dual chinese phones can use one slot for microSD- mikedcw

The letv pro stood out, I found it online for a very reasonable price. The specs seem good, how's its SQ and overall performance? And does it have expandable storage?- mikedcw

Best Smartphone for audiophile
Hi everyone! First time poster here. So I recently lost my iPhone 5C to an unfortunate water accident (not covered by warranty...) and am looking into buying a new phone. I live in Brazil, so some top notch flagship phones may be a bit out of my price range and some chinese phones may be...- mikedcw
