I have a Jot2 with the DAC card on the line for 375. Im really torn on the balanced cable.

Schitt Jot 2 used is $375. Modius DAC is $150 used. That's only 25 bucks over budget. Thoughts?

Wait... what!? What about USB out?

Meze sells these gorgeous balanced copper XLR cables for the Lirics and I was sorta amped to go down that road... but they also sell the same cable with a single end... Hmm.

From an article: "USB is often limited to 16-bit/48kHz audio, while SPDIF can support up to 24-bit/192kHz." That's really something to think about. I wonder if my specific audio card puts out more via USB DAC UP or optical?

Yeah am I supposed to assume that those dual DAC-UP are USB Digital Audio Out!? What is the rate that interface would operate at? Would it be better than optical out?

Tell me more about why balanced won't get me much?
