Own LCDX and love it, I want to explore a few more totl headphones and Aeolus and Arya are high on my list. Anyone listen to 2 or 3 of these and able to provide some insight on differences?

You need something to pry the retainer off the housing. It simply pops off. Once you get 1 out the rest of the tabs come easier. Put the new pads on the retainer before reinstalling. Once you have done it once, it takes 30 seconds.
