I'm not posting much, but I love this kind of thread :)       Need a proper DAC now

The NFB-12 is a nice DAC for the price, but you wont use the full potential of your amp. The shiit DAC sounds like a good idea.   edit : btw, I m using my NFB-12 as a DAC atm because I had to return my Lite DAC 83 (not reliable stuff). It's pain to get such a drop in sound quality.

I got the Project and Audio GD NFB 12. The Project is a best amp than audio GD with both HD800 et Sony Z1000. Both amps are not very good, but kinda low cost.   I'll get iBasso D7 and Audio GD Master 5 soon, I'll post a review.

I just ordered a master 5. 20 days to go.

It's getting hard to decide :) The b 22 will have to be build, do you know who can do that? I'm not a tube guy, I'm looking at tube because it looks like it works great on HD800. So I'll need a very neutral tube amp. Something like an Audio Research without the brightness in the highs.

Is the Master 6 exact same amp than the 5 with just more power ? When I read the Audio GD site it's not very clear. It makes me feel that the Master 6 is not as much class A as the 5.   This part for example :     Power Consumption 45W class A @240V or 120V 45W idle @240V...

I dunno the Master 5, I gonna have a look at it, thanks.   I got a balanced PS Audio DAC.   Do you guys know better SS amp than those two audio GD ? (for the HD800 I mean)

So far, I change my mind every five minutes. :) If you guys have other option... (as long as it's balanced).
