i have an insignia, 2012, with a cd400. It takes a long time to scan the X1 and it scans each time a start the engine. It's a pain. Given the choice I would go back to an iPod classic. I am due a new car by the end of the year and if it does not scan quickly I'll be picking up a 180 classic.

It scans each time and it is USB 2.. It's a CD400 in a Vauxhall AKA an Opel If someone wants to look at the spec on that.

Hi, sorry for the confusion. I mean the time it takes for X1 to be scanned using the car.

The speed at which it scans, is this something that will be addressed in futer firmware upgrades? I ask as out of the box my X1 had 1.2 and was not recognised by my car but was after a firmware upgrade, also a thumb drive with the same songs on scans in a couple of minutes, a lot faster than the X1.

Has anyone had any issues with the amount of time it takes for theirncar to scan the X1? It takes over ten minutes if I only have 1000 songs on the device,which is inpractable.

I pressed a shortcut key in error and my unit has been hanging for over two hours. Any suggestions on how to get out of this? How can I do an reset? Sorted it, RTFI!

Hi, no updating still leaves 5800 songs. I also note a huge lag when accessing a playlist, admiringly the playlist has approx 900 songs in it, but the X1 hangs for around sixty seconds.

I can now control this though my car usb, which great. Just want the song limit removed and all will be tickerty boo.

That's good to hear. I hope it is just a X1 update I cannot imagine Vuachall being very forthing coming with any free firmware update. Does anyone know when the next firmware release for the X1 will be?

Hi, got my X1 for Xmas. So far so good, once. Feature which is bugging me is that when scrolling through songs/albums it does not skip to the next letter in the alaphbet, similar to an ipod, which makes searching rather protracted. I know that it's not n iPod but a similar feature would be helpful.

Hi, is this due to a hardware or firmware issue? I'd like to see able to control my X1 via the car like I did with the ipod Classic or even how I did when I plugged a usb stick in.
