    Logitech USB Headset

I got this thing when I was in an online class at work several years ago and ever since I've been using it to listen to music at work. The sound is actually pretty clear over the mids and highs, though being what they are, they do lack bass. However, I was just thinking about this. I plug the...

The "I saw Metallica Live" thread

Summer 1988, Monsters of Rock, Akron, Ohio, Rubber Bowl. They played a brand new song from their upcoming album called "Harvester of Sorrow" and of course, it was awesome because all the rest of the songs were from their first 3 albums.. They played before Dokken, which is kind of hard to fathom...

(graphical) equalizer settings for each music genre

A long time ago, nearly 20 years, I decided to "Break" my addiction to the tone controls. I just started listening to everything flat. It really made a difference in how I appreciate music. yes, there are recordings that need correction, but for the most part, if you have decent components, the...

    25 Best Heavy Metal Bands?

WHEN DOES A BAND CROSS THE LINE FROM "ROCK" TO "METAL" - WHO'S THE METAL GOD THAT MAKES THAT RULE. WHAT'S THE CRITERIA. I WANNA KNOW WHY AEROSMITH IS NOT METAL.

    25 Best Heavy Metal Bands?

I think the list is ok. Even the bands that weren't really "metal" had a huge influence on what we know of as "metal" - I think putting Opeth on there would have been a good chance to turn some folks onto that band. An opportunity missed. Other than that, I can't really fault it. I like that...

SONGS THAT BRING SAD> Fu**ed UP>OR PLEASANT MEMORIES!!!

side one of IN THE AEROPLANE OVER THE SEA by Neutral Milk Hotel. Let's just say that it's the one "event" everyone wants to remember as special that I'll always remember more because of the music that was playing. The theme of insanity in that record was especially fitting.. ugh.

Let's Talk about My Bloody Valentine

Well, I don't have super-high expectations. If it does impress me, then that will be a bonus. The LOVELESS era was a different time. I hope they find a way to be relevant in 2008 and not just a rehashing of old ideas. -Mason
