Noble Audio FoKus Apollo
After dealing with some less than great companies and products over time (not saying noble is one of those), I personally always try to base any purchasing decisions on what a product is when I buy it, not what it can potentially be in the future. The only after sale support I tend to include...- mashuto

IMR Audio : Sonic Adventures & Impressions
I tried real hard to warn people on this forum when IMR first started up because of all the crap this guy pulled with Trinity. But, its hard when people didnt personally experience any of that themselves, and especially so because on the surface, the products he offers are pretty enticing at...- mashuto

Beware of IMR Acoustics. Possible fraud on the way
Hah, I'm honestly surprised it took this long after all the trinity shenanigans. With trinity they had some seemingly really interesting products at good price points. But it became pretty clear pretty quickly that their whole business model was at best unsustainable and at worst and outright...- mashuto

The Watercooler -- Impressions, philosophical discussion and general banter. Index on first page. All welcome.
Hello all, been a long while since I have really participated around here and really have been pretty much out of the game since I got my singularity (other than some tws purchases). I have a bit of the itch for something new and have been eyeing the new flipears IEMs a bit. Seen a bunch of...- mashuto

Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!
Thanks for the review and especially the comparison. Almost makes me a little sad I sprung for the multiverse version initially as this one sounds much more to my preferences. Not expecting the world at the price point, but the overall package is very appealing. Think I may pick one of these up...- mashuto

While I can't speak to whether another dorado is likely, your reasoning isn't entirely accurate. There's also been like 6 or 7 different Solaris versions with additional cosmetic only variations. The trifecta has had like 7 different cosmetic versions. And if you count multiverse versions, I...- mashuto

Don't believe so, but transparency mode can be used during calls and it's kinda the same.- mashuto

I would be quite interested in that comparison. I have the multiverse version and really love the form factor, size, weight, etc. The sound though is too much on the thin/bright side for me and doesnt really hit my preferences.- mashuto

The ANC definitely hisses on these. Seems to be kind of hit or miss with ANC implementations across different headphones. The Sony xm4 I had hissed a little bit, but the xm5 is very quiet. I have mostly moved to using the apollo with ANC off. I find that the passive isolation on them is actually...- mashuto

Even though I havent watched that movie in quite some time, I am still partial to the knife throwing scene.- mashuto

This doesn't seem to quite match my experience. With my Apollo connected to both my laptop and my phone, even with media already playing on my laptop, notification sounds from the phone also interrupt audio from the laptop and I think regular, even muted audio from the phone has interrupted...- mashuto

What are the tuning changes supposed to be? I really like the axion for it's size and portability, but the tuning isn't quite to my preferences. Also comes with a 3.5 cable now instead of USB?- mashuto

Yea, I would love to see bluetooth LE (LC3) as an option. No idea if the hardware is even capable, but the very devices I have had with it work very well with pretty much unnoticeable latency. But, no expectations there. Wired is always still an option.- mashuto

My test results were also pretty similar. Though I think just the highest band of treble was elevated for me. It also seems to hit my preferences better. Gives a nice bit of extra oomph down low which I like, and kind of tames the treble that could at times be a little spicy for me. Guess my...- mashuto

634EARS: Impressions, Discussions, and Appreciations Thread
Do you happen to have an original loak for a size comparison? This is supposed to have a smaller driver right? I would love picking up another 634 iem with more of that blue copper, especially if it's a warmer and smoother sound, but I still worry about the size and fit.- mashuto
