    Avantone : Pro Planar

The good thing about the Arya Organic is the mix of detail and bass. Usually very detailed headphones are on the flat/bright side (and the AO are bright, yes) but the bass on the AO is... Amazing. Without being too U or V-shaped, they are anything but boring. A fun listen, and way different from...

    Avantone : Pro Planar

I don't have the Edition XS but the Arya Organic, and the Avantone PLANAR. I listened to the XS for a week though. XS and AO are not the same but they are definitely brighter than the Planar. Quite different sound signatures, soundstage is wider in the XS (although not as wide as the AO). The...

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

I finally got the Arya Organic and they are cool for metal, however they are very revealing and if the recording is flawed it will show. But with crisp productions it is great and the bass is amazing. Not overly done, just with with enough kick to deliver a good slam.

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

Are the Arya Organic too bright for metal? I listen to a lot of genres, not just metal, but I have a thing for the AO and would really like to have feedback from any metalheads on them.

    Avantone : Pro Planar

Hi there, I am very happy with my Avantone Pro Planar but I've been offered a nice deal for a brand new Arya Stealth. Does anyone here have the Arya Stealth? How do they compare to the Planar?

Mr Speakers (Dan Clark Audio) Aeon Flow Closed. They work perfectly, with brand new original Dan Clark Audio perforated pads (purchased less than a week ago at Thomann, invoice in the pictures). The headphone has just been used once with these new pads. A small scratch on the right headphone...

    Avantone : Pro Planar

Hi, I use the SMSL SP200 with the Planars and to my ears they pair nicely. These headphones really shine (for me) at louder volumes without going crazy, that is - take good care of your ears. I rarely use them without an amp or dac in between and I can't compare A/B with/without amp. They also...

    Avantone : Pro Planar

This is exactly what I did for mine (I posted about this long time ago in this thread) and it's really comfy, and cheap.

    Avantone : Pro Planar

If you don't want to spend that much on the ZMF Copilot, you can get this which is much cheaper and really does the job. I got it and it makes the Planar very comfortable.

    Avantone : Pro Planar

It takes a bit to adapt to their sound. For me they were too dark at first, and not very "fun" to listen. But after a short period of adaptation I truly love their sound. Even if they don't require an amp, giving them some juice will benefit the low frequencies and they sound fuller. And they...

    Avantone : Pro Planar

I agree with everything you said. I also miss a bit of spark on the treble, that's why I judged them as "unfunny" - maybe a bit unfair from me, when judging the rest of pros of these headphones you really get a lot of things done right. They might not be the funniest to listen, but when you get...

Maybe a long shot, but can someone compare the XS to the Avantone Planar?

@HardstyleLoco96 I am trying to replicate your EQ in Poweramp (Android), but the filters have different names. Is your "Analog Bell" the same as "Peaking Band"?
