Well, this is my semi-portable setup, brought it into the kitchen to do some dishes. Runs off a pineapple/banana power source. Bass really kicks in if I add a second pineapple.

I tried changing my source, interconnects, and earspeaker socket on the amp but I still had the same result. I hope its not the amp because I'm working out a deal with the seller to swap the headphones.

There is no noise when the music is off (and phones still powered). Hmm, what could it be? In either case, the seller is very understanding and we are working something out.

Thanks for the clarification, yes it is the head of the screw that is stripped. The cup is holding properly but it just bothers me a little everytime I see it.
