IMHO the Denon 2900 has beautiful audio out, especially with Hi-Res source such as SACD and DVD-A. I use it both with a 7.1 system and my corda ha1-mk2, beyer dt880 setup and it sounds excellent on both.

Hey, we should get some people together in the umcp area to compare cans...I've got some DT880s, HD580s, and Philips HP890s with a corda ha1-mkii. You've got your 501s and cd3000s with a meta 42. And I know a couple people with some grados. Lets some together and compare.

I must agree, they do sound quite nice but overemphasized in the bass area. Sorta like strapping some car (not home theater) subs to your head. Fun to listen to though!
