My Peggy has also some noise.When you change the bit rate(mostly lower rate),the noise will disappear. I just think it is caused via USB,but sometimes occurs via TOSLIINK.I want to check the dac at MUSICIAN service.

Agree.I also use the optical code from my Mac mini(2012).It has an optical out.No noise and nice sound. I use the Audioquest Vodka optical code.What the code do you guys use?

Sounds nice. I also bought a new Pegasus last December. I switched my Mac mini(2012 late →2018), noise was reduced but still exist.

Did you try a new firmware?

Yes,it is disappeared soon. I can improve the situation when I turn off/on my Pegasus,switch another music player (eg.Apple music to Tidal),or change to the lower sampling rate.
