So... What are your portable systems like?
Well my portable set up was: FLAC -> Sansa Clip 8gb -> Crossroads Mylarone x3i's Unfortunately, my x3i's cable came out of the back of one of the buds so I've just replaced them with nuforce NE-7M's. Burning in as we speak About £90-£100 for the updated rig. My other set up I bring...- LostPhil

Recommend me some female fronted rock
How about Noisettes? Haven't heard their new stuff, apparently got really big (seen their new album in the shops and all). I liked their old album even though the recording/mastering was so terrible I can't actually listen to it... -
Indie - Folk suggestions
Fleet Foxes are great (and amazing live, seriously. Go to see them in an intimate venue if you can). I'd suggest the Sun Giant EP over the self titled LP though, it's better IMO although obviously not as long. Laura Marling? "Alas I Cannot Swim" is played far more than it should be on my... -

Decent replacement for Mylarone x3i
Brilliant, I'll have a look at those and the Sennheisers then, failing that I'll get a pair of the PL30's. Thanks!- LostPhil

Decent replacement for Mylarone x3i
I don't think I'll be able to listen to anything harsh/forward, my other cans being PX100's and Equation Audio RP21's and my ears are a bit sensitive to high frequencies. I do like to hear the detail and subtleties of the music though. So warm to neutral sounding IEM's should be a good match...- LostPhil

Decent replacement for Mylarone x3i
Hello! I have a problem.. My beloved mylarone x3i's are down and out due to the cable being pulled out of the back of one of the buds. It's repairable but I don't trust sticking them in my ear anymore due to other build quality experiences... So, I'm after some nice IEMs as a replacement...- LostPhil

PC to Mac: My Not-So-Genius Switch
I don't seem familiar with the "Vista problems" mentioned, been running it for nearly a year and a half and would take it over XP any day of the week - Navigating windows explorer is much nicer for me (although it has to cache every time for some reason...) and still running pretty much like it...- LostPhil

Cowon S9 - Only the best - With Pictures and Videos!!
If you're looking in folder browsing, they'll be in alphabetical order if you haven't got the track number in front of the track name. This is how it should be. The fact they're in the right order on your computer suggests this. However, if you're actually looking in the database under Artist...- LostPhil

A message to Cowon/Archos/all.
How about the Cowon O2? Bonus of flash, larger screen and expansion. Good battery life considering too. I don't know much about it besides, I'd heard some comments saying the firmware wasn't great (AV sync etc) but I've since seen comments to the contrary (a firmware update has been issued...- LostPhil
