Sounds like I'll have to continually stalk the website... challenge accepted.   Thanks for responding directly.

Anyone notice that 'finish' was added to the dropdowns for a lot of products? They appear to be exclusively "Silver" and "Silver B Stock", but the Mjolnir 1 has Black listed. Makes me wonder if we're finally going to get Black as an option regularly.

    Earbuds Round-Up

Has anyone here that prefers earbuds to in ear monitors tried the Bose QC20s? I'd like to add some noise cancelling to my travel setup, but in ears are quite uncomfortable for me at any size tips I've tried. I'm not sure if there's any suggested alternatives besides going over-ear, which adds...

The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

After that discussion on the HD700's, decided to go for the HE-400s and save myself some cash. Didn't know they were out and the response to them makes them seem like a deal even at retail price. For anyone considering buying and if you have Discover, don't forget you get 5% back at Amazon this...

The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

The 650 versus 700 recommendation seems to be a common point of contention. When stacked up against the 400i's is that a common preference though? I know we saw the $400 deal on them before, I had just jumped on the 7xx's though. Would people here that are considering a ~$500 price point for...

I'm really tempted by this deal. I doubt the price gets any better anytime soon. I'm having the itch to get a new set, but I'm perfectly content running with the 650/7xx's right now too. Did anyone else here jump into that drop?

The AKG K7XX Massdrop First Edition Thread

I really really like these headphones. They clean up a lot of my complaints I had with the 553's (tinny sound and a pretty average bass). I think they'll be a great alternative to the 650's for my daily listening and give me some options depending what kind of sound I'm looking for that given...

Awesome timing for me, was able to get a pair off Massdrop. They're already at 120/200 or so.

Turns out Brookstone currently has a 15% cashback deal with Discover too (funny thing is, they list Beats as an excluded item on the 15% deal).   So if you have a Discover card you can get these at about $170 all things considered. Makes it pretty tempting to me just getting starting my...

I think I've seen people mention the V-MODA M-100's around here before and judging by amazon/camelcamelcamel this seems to be a decent deal @ $200 with free shipping w/ code SHIP99   http://www.brookstone.com/v-moda-crossfade-over-ear-noise-isolating-metal-headphone

New release - the AKG K553 Pro - featuring a killer Massdrop deal

Funny, I just watched your video on the AiAiAi TMA-2's and then show up here and notice this post. Curious, any chance you could do a comparison for me? I was looking at them because they looked like a good option for someone still trying to learn their preferred sound profile. I believe I...

New release - the AKG K553 Pro - featuring a killer Massdrop deal

I'm still in the process of learning things like that, I wasn't aware it was a general rule of thumb the two brands were expected to have that type of sound signature difference.   That being said, I did end up listening to them all night and I started to appreciate them a little bit better...

New release - the AKG K553 Pro - featuring a killer Massdrop deal

I bought a pair of these to try, probably not the best ones to use as my first (Sony MDR-V600's don't count) closed headphones. Compared to my HD650's I'm having a hard time continuing to use them, I just don't hear a very rich sound. Not sure if it is the 650's being simply better, open design...

Just speaker wire, they're nothing too special or expensive so I won't go out of my way to bridge them in. But if I can make it work with a relatively cheap purchase I'd be curious what the best way is.   http://smile.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-TSi100-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B00192KF12

Fortunately I grabbed both in the Uber variant, should have been more specific.   Also the cheap lepai amp powering the bookshelf has an RCA input (using the aux from the laptop to it). So would leaving the bookshelf to cheap amp and then grabbing another pair of RCA to RCA and hooking up...
