    HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled

It seems like Unveiled is a lot more consistent across amps. I made the comparison with Immanis just to show the advantages/drawbacks of both. Some are saying Immanis isn't amp picky, but from some impressions in this thread, it seems like it's definitely amp picky. It should never lack intimacy...

    HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled

Immanis is really something. It sounds so 3-dimensional, it makes Unveiled sound (comparatively) 2D or flat in stage, which is crazy. Unveiled does have thicker, richer bass, but Immanis is much more dynamic and focused, with more clarity. It somehow has focused/direct precision, AND a bigger...

    HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled

I think Immanis is very, very dependent on amps. On the Viva setups at CanJam, Susvara Unveiled was laid back and smooth as expected. Immanis was very lively and present, almost Focal Utopia tuning. Bigger stage than Sus, also wrapped behind my ears like Utopia. And much more detailed/resolving...

    HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled

They had about 5 sets of Sus Unveiled at CanJam London... Scattered around the venue. None of them broke during the show. That gives me confidence. If it's safe enough to have 5 of them, for anyone to try on... Must be okay. Then it's just usual Hifiman quality control when you buy one, like OG...

    HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled

I'd guess if it touched the membrane, it could easily cause failure. Maybe not visibly, but the drivers can't afford to move, and they're 1nm thin... Mosquitoes are attracted to CO2 from breath so they circle our heads. But it's still incredibly unlikely I'm sure

    HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled

Could use a repellent cream on the outer ring, or just apply it to your head I guess. It's just a theory but could save you a lot of money :)

    HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled

Just a thought... What if a mosquito or a fly goes into the Unveiled drivers? Wouldn't this break them instantly? In the Summer I've definitely had mosquitos fly past my ears, or my headphones. You hear it approach you without warning... Might need to put some repellent on the rings around the...

    HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled

We realised this didn't happen. It's simply the usual Hifiman quality control. The covers cannot, physically can't, break the drivers. Unless you poke them inside the gaps on purpose. Covers aren't magnetised at all, and the drivers don't respond to magnets regardless. You can't damage them...

    HiFiMan Susvara

Better names: Hifiman SUV (Susvara UnVeiled) Unprotected Sus (feels good, but you're taking a risk) Susvara UnSafe (aka SUS)

Should've called it "Unprotected Sus". More enjoyable, but you're taking a risk!

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV

Stellia is so smooth, it makes Elegia sound like sandpaper... There's a serious driver issue with Elegia that EQ cannot fix. The treble shrillness is so bad. I did love Elegia when it was my best headphone. But Stellia has me spoiled - it's such an experience. Best closed-back I've ever used...

Ferrum Audio ERCO - Headphone DAC/Amp

4.4 to XLR adapters are cheap enough. I'm not sure how Erco Gen2 compares to Wandla, but I own Erco 1 - Wandla is a major upgrade from it. I'd say get Wandla and an XLR to 4.4 adapter, unless you can get Erco 2 much cheaper!

    Ferrum WANDLA - Impressions Thread

Wandla vs Erco (gen 1)... I am blown away. Testing with LCD-5, Hypsos and Erco as the amp section. No more treble glare. I didn't realise how much glare Erco suffered from. Wandla is clean and natural, with the smoothest timbre I've ever heard. Whilst being very punchy and detailed. Treble is...

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV

It's the nice thing about Stellia, it's a real leather product that ages gracefully. Apart from the few half-stained ones with lines going down them haha. You can protect them if you prefer brand new. Or enjoy the leather maturing over time.

    Forza AudioWorks Impressions Thread

Mine too. I got my cable about 9 days after ordering (to the UK) which was really fast!
