    Arcam AV9 and Grado's?

You are probably going to get told to get a head amp at all costs, however I have been perfectly satisfied with the output from my Marantz AV8003, and my Linn Kisto before that. They can drive a difficult phone in the Sennheiser HD650 way beyond how loud I want to go, and with no noticeable...

Cans for ultra-intelligibility of the spoken word

As below, I've got HD650's and am pretty happy with them but don't get, and won't get, the chance to compare with others, no decent stockist anywhere within reach at all. I probably want to end up with two pairs, one for music one for film and TV. Unless something like the HD800 could be one...

Will the HF-2 be a big cup design like the GS1000/PS1000? Looking at the pic on P1 the HF-1 wasn't. I know, the 'baby PS1000' tag gives the idea it will be.

100 mW into 32 Ohm - What constitutes a decent output?

Thanks again. The AKG's have 105dB/mW sensitivity - that's high (or average at worst) rather than low isn't it? I see the various Grado's average about 98dB/mW Grado Labs - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Again very happy to be put right - n00b trying to get up to speed.
