I just upgraded the opamps for the SWING today (Classics). Those guys at BURSON, they sure have something against instructions. For you electronics geeks all of this might seem obvious but not to me. I didnt know what the zip ties were for, how many opamps I needed or what single vs dual is...

Two and two, got it. I dont know IV or LPF. But thanks for the My SWING DAC/PREAMP does the same thing. I speculated it was the blue USB cable that came with the unit having a bad pin. If I touch the device it disconnects from the computer.

To you, not to me, hence my question. It has amps installed, so can one install just 1 or 2 Vivids or Classics? Can you mix and match?

Do we need 1, 2, 3 or 4 op amps for the SWING DAC? Its not clear on the website. I think someone reported one of the op amps doesnt fit in the SWING box, no?.

Don't get your panties ruffled. Its all in fun. Alex at Burson said the only filter worth changing is EMPHASIS to OFF. If that's the case, I say, why even include them?

Why wouldnt they need to explain their product to their end user? Why put in filters that have no effect? I've used other stand alone DACS before but I still dont know what the difference between these filter options for this chip is nor do the explanations in the technical sheets provide much...

Ive been wondering about these filters. (I bought a Burson Swing basic model DAC to use with another headphone amp and to send a signal to small powered A2+ desktop speakers from Audio Engine. Wow the Burson DAC makes the A2+ speakers sing. I had a damn sound stage on my desk listening to .)...
