Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I just ordered a set through work. As a replacement for my Voyager headset I currently use. Should be out in May. I just ordered a set through work. As a replacement for my Voyager headset I currently use. Should be out in May. HP bought Poly and we use all HP products. I do not like using...

    Bowers & Wilkins PI7

I saw some neoprene cases available which also have a clip. Would work the same way as a 3D printed case concept. There is also a zipper case which would hold the requisite cables which would be helpful on flights when wishing to use the Bluetooth transmission feature of the case.

On the heels of this most recent note, I was initially surprise that there were a number of case covers for the PI7 and PI5. This is a relatively small niche market compared to the more "popular" brands, but cases are around. But I feel for you with the damage to a brand new item.

For those interested, the reviews are starting. I just read a couple. One from Engadget.

I had the PI7, they were excellent, but the Bluetooth transmission from the case had static. When contacted, B&W was going to replace them, I just returned it. Then the rumor of S2 came out so I held off.

    Bowers & Wilkins PI7

I sent an email to B&W some time back and they told me tha they did not know when the next generation would come out. They suggested I sign up for the newsletter. I did. Nothing has shown up as of yet. The web site still shows gen1: Out of Stock

I will buy the PI7 when it comes out. Will wait for a sale of course. As for the PX8, I have a PX and do not use them enough to get a new set. There should be no doubt that the PX7 and PX8 are better than the PX, but it is hard to pull the trigger as it is a lot of $$$$.

    Bowers & Wilkins PI7

Just an update on the PI7. A few posts back I listed that there was a preorder tab for the PI7 S2. There were some specs as well. I submitted to be notified when it was available. Just today I received notice that the PI7 S2 was "discontinued". There are very few to no PI7s available any longer...

    Bowers & Wilkins PI7

I was an early adopter for the noise canceling BW entry....I have the PX headphones. I only wear them for trips and Covid put a damper on that for sure and I could not justify upgrading from teh PX since I bought them at $399. I initially bought the PI7 and loved them, but teh bluetooth...

    Bowers & Wilkins PI7

I just checked and the PI7 is out of stock on the company website and listed as discontinued on another site. My suspicion is that they are prepping for version 2. The specs for version two were accidentally released as I submitted in an earlier post.

I just checked this web site again. The PreOrder has been taken down. Now the PI7 is $299. Perhaps in anticipation of the PI7 S2 Also, I sent an email to Bowers and Wilkins and asked them about the PI7 S2 and this was the response: "Thank you for your email and interest in the Pi7 S2 earbuds...

    Bowers & Wilkins PI7

Greetings, I am posting this note to stimulate some discussion on the PI7 S2. There is a listing to preorder the PI7 S2 at an online vendor. It some limited information which is different than the PI7. My thought is that it is true. Key Features 9.2mm Hybrid Drivers High-Res 24-bit Audio &...

    New Member Introductions thread

I fully understand your dilemma, If you can stretch to $99, I would suggest the Shure SE 215. I have been using Shure in ear devices for nearly twenty years. I went first with the E3C twenty years ago and have been partial to the Shure devices since that time. Just a thought. You may even be...
