Make sure you listed to a pair of 701s before buying them. I hated the way they sound. Definitely a love/hate headphone.

Qables (look right) are based in Europe. However, I lost all respect for the company when they started offering a cable burn in service for "only" £$15. I wouldn't use them just on that basis.

Do they use filters like etymotic. I got the filter on one of my etymotics wet, it had the effect of making the sound very quite. I removed it and left it to dry for a while and it was fine. Leave it to dry before making any rash decisions.
