Has there been posted on these forums or elsewhere a description of the menu settings for this player? Something a bit more informative than the manual. Similarly, has there been posted here/elsewhere a recommended settings for this player. Thanks.

So not just my imagination or wishful thinking.  That is great that your theme makes the player actually run better.

As Relic said the "VTX-Lite" by @XVortex theme uses larger fonts.  I am using it now and it is great.  And as a side benefit because of the optimized/simplified graphics my player is not only more readable but more responsive.

Thank you for the update.  For me your custom theme is the best.  Although the themes are great for their colors and graphics, your's is the best for its simplicity and clarity, especially the nice large easy to read fonts.  I swear, too, that with yours installed the FIIO runs better, that is...

XVortex, just installed your ultra-light firmware.  It's great.  The larger fonts are wonderful ... my old eyes really appreciate it.  Is it my imagination or does my player run through the menus faster?  Sure seems to, but because your design is so minimalist could just seem that way.  Thanks...

Thanks for answering.   I'm new to buying this quality earphones and had no idea that the tips could make such a big difference to the sound.  I thought they were really just there to keep them from falling out of your ears.  LIve and learn I guess.

Would any of you here recommend buying the audio filter tips or just stick with the Comply ones?  Thanks.

Thank you both.   Also had a brainstorm and actually went to the Audeo site (US and UK) to see if they sold extra tips.  They do, so they're available.  But neither ship to Australia so figuring out how to extra originals otherwise the options you all suggested should be good.   Thanks.

I was looking for prices on the PFE232.  Came across a website that said Audeo was going to stop making audio earphones, which they are.  Besides warranty issues, my concern is getting replacement foam tips.  Are there aftermarket ones for this earphone?  Or see if I can buy additional foam tips...
