The headphones are always closed. The Plates are for styling purposes and do not affect the isolation.

The new beyerdynamic systems are the first to have more than 1 Tesla magnetic flux in the airgap for the coil, so whats wrong when calling them TESLA series ? ;-)

Hi @ll. The DT1350 has a little bit more pressure and a shorter Headband compared to the first T50p versions. Also the headband (metal,covered by plastic parts, not plastic completely!) is split and can be opened (similar to the HD25 headband). The earpads are the new ones which are also used...

Just a note: when you listen to T50p's be aware of the positioning. The wrong position sometimes lead to the mentioned light"nasal"sound signature. The T50p's midrange is quite neutral but strong enough to be present when listening at lower levels. The highs are - as also already mentioned by...
