Hello, you seem to have a very wierd problem: AV710 presents it to system with wrong id! from kernel source: #define VT1724_SUBDEVICE_AV710 0x12142417 /* AV710 - the same ID with Audio2000! */ And this is definitely not the ID your card seems to have. I really can't explain how did...- klappar

I finished my board but I dont get any sound... even no noise/hiss. I can adjust the bias fine. Only wierd thing is that the tubes get quite hot in only few minutes. Tried both the 12FK6 and 12AE6. Bias was 12V for both. Checked my wiring and soldering and detected no shorts or bridges. My power...- klappar

Has anyone heard of "Arcotronics Nissei" caps? They should be "film foil polypropylene" but never heard of this company before. Anyway I ordered these for audio path and evox rifas for power section. Maybe next week I can comment on their sound- klappar

Can't get my AV 710 to work in Linux
The error message about "incorrect rom version" is harmless. Wdym by "not working"? Have you used the asound.state referenced in AV710 setup instructions thread? AV710 has really a lot of mixer options and it can by quite a PITA to get them togeter by hand. Btw, it's best to use alsa 1.0.9...- klappar

Cmoy noob part2;) [56kwarning]
Make sure your power input polarity is correct. Just finished my first cmoy and cooked a opa2134 because my multimeter wires were reversed... symptoms were the same, the chip became very hot. After that I bougth couple TL072-s to experiment with. Now running with fine with new opa2134- klappar
