Any DJ's, how to get started?

Nowadays there are two real routes. There's the more traditional methods of using Vinyl / CDJ's or timecoded vinyls with a computer to beatmatch. On the other hand, you have the ability to DJ using just a midi controller and a program like Ableton. Check out mixes/ videos by the French...

    Recommend me some Electro?

Herve, anything on Herve's label Cheap Thrills (especially the Machines Don't Care collaboration album), Proxy, Mr Oizo (maybe), His Majesty Andre, Les Petits Pilous, SebastiAn, ZZT, The Bloody Beetroots, Crookers (well some of it), Midfield General, Das Glow (more techno, but highly enjoyable)...

    Great Electronica (give me suggestions!)

I just call everything Electronic. That's what it is after all. In my opinion, and based on your current listening, The Cinematic Orchestra might be to your taste. They're not heavily electronic, but they have a really unique sound that is incredibly addictive. Definitely check out the...

    Frankenbeyers...20 hours burn in

They're beautiful in all honesty. Just look at them, I mean, they're obviously serious gear.

    HIGH LOUDNESS HEADPHONE?

I'm just going to come out and say it: If you're hearing distortion in the first place, you're listening far too loud. Distortion should be an obvious signal that the headpones aren't meant to be that loud. I can only advise against it strongly, but its up to you to listen to me while you...

Grado SR80 - Bassy enough for dance music?

I concur with RuiCanela. I find that whilst the 80's supply the bass, it isn't the right type of bass for dance. I much the Beyerdynamic DT770's for dance, but I have never heard the DT990.

    My HD600s' 10th birthday

Nice one I hope to do the same thing with my SR80's, so that in 40 years I'll be able to go back to them and get memories again Needs a recable though, typical Y-Splitter....

What type of Headphones does superstar musicians like Rihanna and snoop dogg use in their studio?

Hate to say it, but the whole Dre debate in this thread is ridiculous. Some people like Dre's work, and some don't. The world would be a boring place with everyone liking the same things. Immaturity solves nothing.

    $50-70 somewhat isolating "portable" all-rounders?

IME I find the AKG K81DJ a great portable phone. It isolates well and folds up, making portability no problem. The only downside I've experienced is the long cable, but it could be easily recabled if you wanted to. Hope this helps

Help! What are these cans in this video?

Look somewhat similar to the Beyerdynamic DT100's.

Haha, if you've heard them, then my apologies.

    AKG k81 dj for 50$

Jump on it. Definitely. I'm no basshead by any means and i use these as my DJ phones, I find the bass INCREDIBLY present and punchy, yet clean after the burn in and foam removal trick. Go go go EDIT: I just noticed you recommended these headphones to someone else already before owning them...
