Here are VERY good "ear plugs" that have the capacity to vary the amount of noise being blocked. These should work very well at concerts, etc. Do yourselves a favor and buy a pair. I've just ordered a pair for myself. http://www.surefire.com/tactical-equipment/hearing-protection.html

JDS C5. Apparently, the team used the DT 880/250 ohm version (I know it's not the 770) extensively during the development of the C5. So it may be a good match for the 770 as well. They have phenomenal customer service to boot.

So sorry about your plight. I too suffer from tinnitus and my headphone usage is severely limited as a result. My tinnitus is mostly in my left ear and becomes worse when I listen at high volume. So, whenever I do use headphones (mostly at night to not disturb neighbors), I listen at very soft...

C&C BH is supposed to pair well with the M50, according to some posts I've read. The C&C BH thread located in the portable amp section would be a good read for you.
