The Continuation Of The Sony Walkman 1Z/1A Thread!
Thanks and sorry 'bout that man 😅 Although I was afraid beforehand that it might weight too much for practical use beforehand, in reality it doesn't bother me at all, now I have it here. Yes, it does weight almost double compared to the 1A. But it also has exactly the same size and footprint as...- Kerouac

The Continuation Of The Sony Walkman 1Z/1A Thread!
So, about 8 months ago I picked up (out of curiosity) a WM1A from the classifieds. I was bitten by the 'Sony housesound bug' pretty hard and soon it was followed by a ZX707 (JP) and an IER-M9, which I also both picked up on HF. Although I thought I was done 'Sony shopping' after that, recently...- Kerouac

And here I was, thinking that you were one of the few members that had found a way to resist that damned upgraditus madness... No need to blame the cat though  Anyway, that SE6 Nebula seems like a worthy upgrade, reading your description => congrats! :)- Kerouac

Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!
Nope. That's an Onso 06 (copper) cable, which came with my Supermoon. I had never heard of that cable before to be honest, but it ended up (synergywise) on the Andro :)- Kerouac

Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!
Sure thing!!! While I also have the Supermoon and Solaris SH in my current iem collection, the Andro & Vega (2016/17) still get plenty of playtime in my listening sessions rotation. I especially like to use them (based on synergy) with my recently purchased Sony daps. Btw, most of the time...- Kerouac

flinkenick's 17 Flagship IEM Shootout Thread (and general high-end portable audio discussion)
To me it feels more like some kind of 'time machine' (trip down memory lane) thread... I even started listening to my almost 10 yrs old RSD Solars again last week... ...and was quite amazed how good they still sounded (imho) after all these years :) Oh well, I guess Napoleon Dynamite and...- Kerouac

Nice! I've read a lot of positive things about the CFA Clara so far. I'm also curious how you will like them (if you get that chance) compared to your SE Nebulas  I haven't heard them myself, so I can't recommend a source for synergy. But maybe some other member(s) can jump in who...- Kerouac

I already liked the SE5U a lot when I had it (even twice) on a loan over here for some weeks, years ago... As you can see in that pic I cut the hearts out of some silicone black tips and put them around the nozzles to get a good seal and comfortable fit. But that worked totally fine for me at...- Kerouac

Nice! And I totally believe that that iem delivers superb sound! Over the past days I've been listening a lot with this combination myself... Sony ZX707 (JP) + Rhapsodio Solar (+ EA Cadmus) I ordered these Solars during 2015 and if any of the (10BA) drivers broke down in the meantime...- Kerouac

What??? Are you saying that your ciems don't even do that for you? :joy: And even 'only' €1459 / €1794 for the universal ones Btw, I really like the design of that one compared to the grey/metallic looking other ones It has some very nice 60's design vibe to it imo... I still can't figure...- Kerouac

Haha, that endgame is mainly based on the available audio budget, which I'm afraid is pretty close to zero these days  But I'm very happy with all the synergy options that I have over here right now. So many different signature 'flavors' to enjoy, all of them offering different...- Kerouac

Oh man, just when I thought I was finally done with that (need to try) itching feeling, you post this! Call me intrigued, but please stop now, so I can find my inner peace (based on the thought that I had finally reached my endgame in this hobby) again :joy: I'm also curious what you'll think...- Kerouac
