Anyone know how to modify the cans to tone down the sound leakage? Has it been done before?

Talking of dampers, read about this oil damper mod too. Maybe I will try that? Was thinking of building a mod with the tube mounted on the case and dampen with a oil sleeve. Think that will rock. :

I am mulling over popping in a stepped attenuator in its place. You reckon that will improve things? Gonna start on the second build am going for a full sized wooden chassis. With blackgates and MOSFETs, how you reckon it will sound? And yeah maybe a stepped attentuator.

I can only obtain REG101-3 3 Volt versions not the 3.3 V ones. Can they still be used?

Oh I traced the cause of the buzz to a faulty multiplug that I was using.

I have got a HK6650R with a buzzing output, it happens when the speaker is turned on. I have tried switching the speakers but the problem still exists. Do I need to swop any parts on the amp?
