How do you differentiate between soundstage width and depth and accurate imaging?
It’s unrealistic to expect live soundstaging in headphones. However, spacial clarity With instruments and vocals let’s our brains clarify all that’s happening in a mix. This is what I think people mean when they say soundstage with headphones. But too much destroys clarity and too little doesn’t...- Kdubbs82

He400i NEED eq?
I’m really curious to try this!! I really wanted to like my 400i’s. But the brightness and accurate, yet thin low end left me fatigued and wanting more. If this makes thsss headphones better I’ll be ecstatic!!- Kdubbs82

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I have the Massdrop 6xx..basically the 650’s. I almost find the sound a little too relaxing. Maybe I just like a more analytical headphone but there are moments in music you know are there that just kind of have a linear approach to the execution. They’re almost too warm for me. True, bass is...- Kdubbs82

HD600: My custom bass extension curves.
So messing with the bass doesn’t create harmonic distortions? I’ve always been told that eq’ing headphones is a no-no. Although, I haven’t found any headphones that I believe do everything 100% (outside of the MrSpeakers Ether Flow C’s). Thoughts?- Kdubbs82
