Use of FiiO E07k vs E10k?

SQ-wise, it seems the E10k is better than E07k or E17k. E07k and E17k offer more features than E10k and are also equipped for portable use. If you're looking for a DAC/Amp for your PC and don't have a need for portable use, the E10k is the better amp (so long as you don't need the other features...

Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge Sound Quality

Awesome - thanks! Any idea how badly the E10K would impact the S6's battery life? Interested in how many % I might lose per hour.

Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge Sound Quality

Did you use OTG + Fiio E10K with the Galaxy S6? If so, did the setup require a USB hub or was it just S6 > OTG > Fiio E10K > Headphones (like this http://i.imgur.com/xVdj55n.jpg)? Thinking about getting an E10K for my work setup, but want to be able to use it with my S6, as well. From what I've...

EarSonics SM3 Appreciation, Discussion, & Review Thread - Technically Best Universal? (see first post for reviews and info)

I second this. At low to medium volume these do not release their full potential as when you crank them up to medium-high or high volume.   Quote:

What are the best eartips for sm3?

I again tried the silicone double flanges that come with the SM3s and they just do not work for me. They key to these earphones, like many are saying (and I agree) is deep insertion and sound isolation. The double flanges did not form a good seal and sounded really thin (complete lack of bass)...

    Rank the IEM's you've heard

    JH-16 Pro > SM3 > Blockade Noise Isolating Earbuds > iBuds

Which of this choices would give me the most neutral sound.

I'm in the Earsonics SM3 camp. You will not be disappointed. Neutral sound and wide soundstage.

What are the best eartips for sm3?

I would say that any silicone tips that give you a good seal will work well. I am using a set of triple flanges from a cheap set of phones that work great.

    Westone UM3X vs. Earsonics SM3

For me, the dual flanges did not make a good seal so the sound was a bit thin. The triple flanges isolate way better and I can clearly hear the bass and treble without any veiling. I will say, however, that the tri-flanges are not as comfortable as the foam comply's. The highs arent as crisp...

    Westone UM3X vs. Earsonics SM3

I had a pair of extra triple flanges that came with some cheapo earphones I used to have and I tried them on yesterday. WOW! Everything is much crisper now with more detail across the entire range. Thanks for the suggestions to move away from the Complys. I wonder why they ship these with tips...

    Westone UM3X vs. Earsonics SM3

Quote: Thanks, I'll definitely give these a try. Can you recommend a good brand of both dual and triple flange tips? The dual flange tips that came with the SM3 are good, but don't isolate well so the bass doesn't come through as good as I'd like.

Your most used IEM and why?

My Earsonics SM3 since it's the only good pair of earphones I own

    Westone UM3X vs. Earsonics SM3

I got my SM3s yesterday, and although this may be hasty, I have to say that these are freaking awesome. The detail that these super light and small earphones can produce is simply amazing. I've heard some people say that the lows could be a bit better, but with the comply tips that I'm using it...
