How do you set the buffer size? I am using Windows 10. I see there is a buffer setting at the Singxer SU-1 app in the icon tray

Anyone getting the white noise issue from Singxer SU-1 unit? Only happens for DSD upsampling via JRiver. It just outputs loud white noise over the top of the music. This is via the I2S connection Currently using the latest firmware (2.22) and driver (3.60)

Yeah, more a DAC to DAC comparison. I dont think there's a transportable DAC/AMP out there that can rival the HUGO2 at the moment.

I totally agree with you. At the end of the day, it is what you ENJOY listening to. Nothing wrong with liking distortion if it still sound good to your ears. High quality tube amps are great example of that, they not the best in terms of specs but damn they sound fantastic and addictive.

I think the Hugo 2 is a fine amp/dac, but it does have its limitation in the power delivery especially on more demanding planar magnetic headphones. The 'highlighting' of details are what the more powerful amp can do and present it more "obvious" to the listener. The signal is of course is...

Violectric (v200, v281) seem to have a strong mid range with sufficient dynamic to give you a smooth warmish sound without the need to go into tube. I agree with Todd R, the Taurus is quite neutral. Although it also depends on your DAC and cables.
